As the Senior Manager, ESG Public Policy Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping public policies and strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients, which includes governments and public sector organisations. Leveraging your expertise in ESG and sustainability, you will drive meaningful change by influencing the development and implementation of policies that align with global sustainability goals and create lasting positive impacts.
As the Senior Manager, ESG Public Policy Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping public policies and strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients, which includes governments and public sector organisations. Responsibilities
- ESG Policy Development: Lead the formulation of ESG policies and strategies for public sector clients, ensuring they align with international sustainability objectives and address current and future challenges.
- Policy Advocacy: Advocate for ESG policies and initiatives that promote environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and good governance at local, national, and international levels.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government officials, industry experts, and NGOs to build consensus and drive the adoption of impactful policies.
- Impact Assessment: Evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies, monitoring progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure that clients' policies align with evolving ESG regulations and standards.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by sharing insights on emerging ESG trends and best practices.
- Client Advisory: Provide expert guidance to public sector clients on ESG matters, offering strategic advice and support for sustainable policy development.
- Manage junior teams and promote their professional development within the organisation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in ESG policy development and advisory, particularly within a public sector or government context.
- In-depth knowledge of global ESG frameworks, regulations, and standards.
- Strong advocacy and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the capability to assess policy impacts and propose data-driven solutions.
- Exceptional project management and organisational skills.
- A passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change.
