As the Head of Legal & Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the legal and compliance aspects of the firm's renewable energy investments. You will be responsible for ensuring that all operations and transactions are conducted in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Additionally, you will provide strategic legal counsel and support to drive the firm's renewable energy projects forward.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all operations and transactions are conducted in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Additionally, you will provide strategic legal counsel and support to drive the firm's renewable energy projects forward.
Responsibilities
- Lead the legal and compliance functions within the Renewable Energy division, ensuring alignment with the firm's goals and values.
- Provide expert legal guidance on renewable energy projects, transactions, contracts, and regulatory matters.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
- Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures tailored to the renewable energy sector.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the firm's operations and investments.
- Oversee due diligence processes for renewable energy projects and investments.
- Represent the firm in negotiations, legal proceedings, and interactions with regulatory authorities.
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organisation.
Qualifications
- A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a reputable institution.
- Admitted to the bar in the UAE or a relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in legal and compliance roles within the renewable energy and private equity sectors.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy regulations, contracts, and project financing.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a legal team.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
