ESG & Sustainable Finance Regulatory Reporting Specialist, Banking, London, UK
Job description
We are currently seeking an accomplished ESG and Sustainable Finance Regulatory Reporting Specialist for a leading bank based in London. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for implementing sustainable finance regulations, including compliance checks such as SFDR, MiFID, IDD, and AIFMD. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the bank's net-zero strategies, climate change scenario analysis, responsible and sustainable investment strategies, and Green Bond issuance.
Responsibilities
As the ESG and Sustainable Finance Regulatory Reporting Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to sustainable finance regulations, including SFDR, MiFID, IDD, and AIFMD, by conducting rigorous compliance checks and assessments.
- Strategic Initiatives: Lead and support vital projects, including the development of net-zero strategies, climate change scenario analysis, and responsible, sustainable, and impact investment strategies.
- Green Finance: Contribute to Green Bond issuance and oversee responsible investment strategies, aligning the bank's initiatives with sustainable finance goals.
- Risk Management: Collaborate with the risk management team to identify, monitor, and manage Sustainability and ESG risks effectively. Research national and international trends and developments in ESG risks, data, and impact methodologies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders at senior levels, including regulators, industry peers, market participants, and government entities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Extensive experience in sustainable finance and ESG regulatory reporting within the banking or financial services sector.
- Deep understanding of sustainable finance regulations, including SFDR, MiFID, IDD, and AIFMD.
- Proven track record in leading and delivering complex ESG and sustainable finance projects.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to stay updated on evolving ESG trends and regulatory developments.
