EnableGreen was approached by a private equity firm to act as a recruitment partner to hire a Head of Sustainability, a newly created role to support the organisation build their ESG and sustainability strategy and build a sustainable portfolio of assets
1. International search Betty, the EnableGreen consultant presented a detailed hiring plan and process to us, which included a broad advertising campaign and an international search, in order to shortlist the best professionals for the role. The shortlist of candidates emcompassed a mix of Finance experience en ESG and Sustainability knowledge and exposure in order to fit well with the Private Equity’s culture.
2. Bridging the gap between employer and candidate
Our EnableGreen consultant understood the importance of the new Head of Sustainable Investment fitting with the client’s culture, so provided a face-to-face candidate screening service of all suitable candidates and presented a shortlist to our CEO. A mix of experience in equity investment and strong interest and exposure in sustainable investing and strategy was paramount to meet the client’s expectations.
3. The interview process
This was followed by a two-stage face to face interview process. As a result of the consultants’ thorough research of the Finance market, it was commented that any of the three candidates who attended the final interview could have been offered the job. EnableGreen then assisted with the final selection process by managing the offer to the chosen candidate and providing feedback to all candidates who were interviewed.
