Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Vehicle Bid Manager on behalf of an innovative EV (Electric Vehicle) Developer based in London. As an EV Bid Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth by leading the bid management process for EV projects. You will be responsible for developing compelling bids, managing client relationships, and coordinating cross-functional teams to secure new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end bid management process for EV projects, from initial opportunity assessment to bid submission and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, sales, and finance teams, to develop comprehensive and competitive bid proposals that align with client requirements and company objectives.
- Manage client relationships and conduct negotiations to ensure the successful acquisition of new EV projects.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
- Monitor and track industry developments, government policies, and incentives related to electric vehicles, ensuring that bid proposals are aligned with the evolving market landscape.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, including EV manufacturers, suppliers, and industry associations, to stay updated on industry best practices and foster collaboration opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations, showcasing the company's capabilities, technical expertise, and value proposition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is desirable.
- Proven experience in bid management or business development roles within the electric vehicle industry or related sectors.
- Solid understanding of electric vehicle technologies, infrastructure, and market dynamics.
- Experience in managing complex bids and contract negotiations, with a track record of successfully securing new business opportunities.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical and commercial information to clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify market trends, assess business risks, and develop competitive bid strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in market research and financial analysis.
